father accused for chequebounces left home will son be liable
21-Aug-2023 (In Family Law)
My father left home three years ago after facing charges for presenting cheques that bounced. He hasn't tried to contact the family ever since he left. I've since received a court summons for him sent by people he owed the money to. What legal actions should I take in order to get rid of these court summons? It should also be taken into account that my mother didn't file an FIR since he left on his own accord. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
In cheque bounce cases only that one is liable who signed the cheque. If you get any court notice in the name of father you may refuse to take. You are not liable because you didn"t sign the cheque. So note down it
If really your father missing since last 3 years than why the FIR for missing was not filed ?
It is a planned action of you guys with collaboration of your father. Which can very easily established by the opponent before court.
