Engagement breach by boy side asked to pay

Sir I am saying the matter in short We were ( boy side) not happy with the marriage so we cancelled the engagement Now girl's father is asking money We asked them how much you have spend on engagement? We were ready to pay them He said 2- to 2.5 lakhs We were shocked because they didn't not spent this much It is approx only 60-70 Thousand 20000 food 18 thousand ring 25000 Clothes What should we do now?

you submit a detail complaint to police for the blackmail and torture done by girls father and if police did not take action then file private complaint before the court and take the action against the concern person

firstly you must file an application before the Local police station and the sp of police seeking a relief that a case of fraud and other sections can be filed against you so the authorities must not take direct actions against you. now secondly you can seek a detailed clarification from the girl side to pay the amount which was exactly spent
