Do I still have the right to stay with my in-laws after separation

11-Sep-2023 (In Family Law)
Dear Sir/Madam, My husband and I have been separated for 3 years. I have been trying to get back to him with no success. He stays in a gated society where I am not allowed unless I know someone who stays there. But I know where my in-laws stay. We got married in front of my in-law's house. Do I have the right stay with them? My husband visits them once a month. It's their own house and my husband is their only son. When I visited their house, my mother in-law pushed me out of the house. If I still have the right to fight, what are the ways. Please help me with the same. Thank you!

On what conditions you take the divorce, you claim any maintenance or permanent alimony. Firstmeet your advocate and show the order copy/divorce decree. After seeing the orders the advocate give the clarification.

Hi, if you have legally separated through a divorcee decree then you do not have any right to stay either with your husband or with any of his family members on the relationship of the earlier marriage. If in case you have not been legally separated then you have all the rights to stay with your husband or with his parents and they shall be liable to provide you proper care and shelter as your are eligible for maintenance by your husband.
