Divorce and maintenance petition

Its my second marriage . I stayed with my husband for 4 months and I'm separated from him from 1 year 5 months because of his mental and physical harassment, dowry harassment and his ignorance towards me and the 11 month old baby girl. Elders and relatives involved to solve the problems. However, it was a failure. We do have the neccessory call recordings and messages to project his cruelty. We wanted to know the future repercussions or need an advice as to how we can proceed with this case without any complications ? I'm a Hindu Kannada brahmin
