22-Jul-2023 (In Family Law)
Could the mother of a deceased married daughter claim her jewellery, which was her jewellery to begin with ? At the moment, her husband had preciously committed to return the same verbally, but now is refusing to return by clearly avoiding her.

the husband being the legal heir of his deceased wife will have the first right over the jewellery. only if the husband dies then the property would devolve upon her maternal family to her parents if she don't have children.
