If you are financially dependent and pursuing your studies, your father cannot arbitrarily force you to discontinue your education. Depending on your age and circumstances, you may have legal remedies to seek educational support and maintenance. Please share your age, gender, educational qualification, and whether you are currently studying, so that appropriate legal advice can be provided.

Whether you can claim compensation depends on your age, educational status, and the nature of the conduct. Merely having arguments at home may not by itself entitle you to compensation. However, if you are a minor, your parents have a legal responsibility to provide for your education and welfare. If you are a major student and are financially dependent, courts may, in certain circumstances, direct maintenance or educational support depending on the applicable personal law and facts. If there is emotional abuse, intimidation, violence, or unlawful restriction on your education, you may approach the appropriate authorities, counselling services, or legal forums for assistance. Please provide your age, whether you are pursuing school/college education, and whether you are financially dependent on your father so that more specific legal guidance can be given.
