concerning parents property family dispute

09-Jan-2023 (In Family Law)
I am 32 years old unemployed. My father is a retired bank staff from SBI. My mother is a home maker. I have a yonger sister who is married. We have a own home which we are living in right now. That is the only property we have. Since i am unemployed my parents are losing hope on copeing up with my financial needs even though i am not demanding them anything . I am just running my daily routine life by not bothering them in anyway and trying to find a job for me. meanwhile my parents and I are getting in to arguement and fight about my future life and marriage. As this happens often in our argumentative converstion, property sharing topic had to be talked on the conversation. On this conversation i came to realize My father is not ready to discuss the details of my inheritence of his property . i suspect he is not willing to let go of my share in his property which would be helpful for my welfare of life and health. Therefore i want to know is it right to approch a Lawer for this?

it depends, if that property which your family has was an ancestral property(inherited from your ancestors), then you can claim your share in it. if that property is self acquired property(self earned by your parents), then it is their decision to give any share.
