Can step-siblings who are not blood-related marry each other? Specifically, can step-siblings marry

08-Jul-2024 (In Family Law)
As a Christian from Kerala, where my father remarried after my mother's passing, and my stepmother, who had a daughter from her previous marriage, later married my father after her first husband passed away, I'm curious: can I legally marry my step-sister (not blood-related) in India?

Hi, No you cannot marry your step sister. Even if you are not related in blood ties, however still both of you will come under the relationship of step siblings as a result you and your step sister will come under the purview of prohibited degree of relationship. Thus you cannot marry your step sister.
