Can parents of legally married couple separate them against their will

19-Jan-2023 (In Family Law)
Dear all, I have registered a court marriage on May'2017, where both familes are against our relationship. We both are hindus and are legally eligible for marriage. After we have registered our marriage, our families are trying to seperate us because of some of their personal problems. I just have one question in mind. Even we are a married couple now, Is there any chance by which our Families can seperate us against our will.?? Can they do anything which can effect our married life?

Not at all.. In hindu law, there are some grounds of divorce.. Such as cruelty, desertion etc... But your case is different.. Here, the problem is creating by your parents.. But so long you are desirous of living with one another, no one can separate you against your will, provided that both of you are legally eligible for marriage .. So, dnt worry.. And live your conjugal life peacefully without any fear.. Thanks..

Hello,

If you are legally married according to our laws then your parents cannot separate you against your will. Your parents don’t have the authority to separate you. Only you and your spouse have the legal authority to file for a divorce.
