If I am sending a legal notice to someone on my behalf (I myself is the client), should I draft the letter in the first person or in the third person?

you should write in first person. however it is better to issue notice through an advocate and the reason behind that is to avoid unpleasant situations in case if your matter finally came across in a litigation. In the actual parlance if one furinshes all he experienced before a court, some how it may fail due toany reasons.

Yes. you can draft it as first person. you must include all the legal grounds. if the notice is not proper it will be taken against you while litigation process in evidence. any admission or any other averments must not go against you. so carefully draft same.
