Can I declare my unmarried sister as my legal heir

I am married , my wife doesn't give a damn about me .
I have 2 sisters of which one is unmarried and we stay in our parents home .
Whether I get ill or whatever thick and thin happens in life, she is the only one standing by my side . She earns a very meagre salary which she contributes in the home and does not ask anything in return .
I just wanted to ensure that if anything happens to me, atleast she must not suffer financially . Is it possible to make my sister my legal heir .

Yes...you can always appoint your sister as your legal heir. You just need to get your will drafted and get it notarized or you can also get it attested by the SDM.
