Can caste category change from general to SC in case of adoption

Sir i belong to general category. Can i change my category to sc if get adopted by a parent belonging to sc category? What are the rules and procedures of adoptation? Is this procedure legal?
At this stage your adoption will be treated as a sham adoption and you will not able to get any help of this. It is better to give up the idea and focus upon genuine matter. Moreover adoption rules also will not support you.

If you are under 12 years of age one can adopt you but one who is going to adopt you there is pre requisite for him/her or both. There is Indian Adoption Law which govern the same. Better to consult a good lawyer. With regard to change of cast , yes if sc st adopt a child, child belongs to st sc

Persons who may be adopted- No person shall be capable of being taken
in adoption unless the following conditions are fulfilled, namely-
(i) he or she is a Hindu;
(ii) he or she has not already been adopted;
(iii) he or she has not been married, unless there is a custom or usage
applicable to the parties which permits persons who are married being taken in
adoption;
(iv) he or she has not completed the age of fifteen years, unless there is a
custom or usage applicable to the parties which permits persons who have
completed the age of fifteen years being taken in adoption.
