Attaching a religion to a child born out of interfaith marriage

11-Mar-2023 (In Family Law)
I would like to know if the documents like birth certificate, passport and school admission require the child to have a religion as per law? Especially if its a hindu muslim marriage how can the parents not attach any religion to the child?

Dear Sir,
No such document needs to be attached but only at the time of admission of the child to the nursery it is necessary to mention the religion of the child. Normally the child adopts the religion of the father unless father agrees to mention the religion of mother to the child.
