Are legal heirs responsible for the debts of the deceased person

what are the legal actions taken against the legal heirs(wife,two children(unmarried),if the person is govenment servant died in service 2.can the debetors have a right on the benefits of the deceased govenment servant AND Insurance claims.if he doesnot have any proporties on his name. 3.In case the wife of the deceased person is a govenment employee ,is there any action against her.

The debtors cannot touch the insurance and other benefits that are paid to the legal heirs.
the debtors can only proceed against the properties and not on the terminal benefits.
Wife of a deceased person is not liable for debts of deceased person, if she does not get immovable properties in her name from her husband.

you can not take any action against the legal heirs of the deceased unless they are the guarantors or given security for that
debt.
yes, creditors can ask the benefits of the debtor ( who is government employee ) when he is alive.
no action can take against her if she is government employee.
