The facts posts lacks clarity as to the real problem. Certainly, your brother-in-law cannot take law into his hands. And cannot adopt aggressive tactics to get the alleged dowry. But what is the problem with your wife and child? And how is it linked to your brother-in-law's wrongful activities?
First your sister should move family court for maintenance to her and child and also for declaring that the property was given to her by her family as you said. After clearing that if your sister agrees she could give you a share. As it stands you have no right over property since you have executed vilayadharam in their favour.
