Advice in case of mental harassment by my own family.

21-Oct-2023 (In Family Law)
I'm 22 and I'm being emotionally tortured by my parents since many years. I've just graduated from my college 3 months back and didn't get a job yet, which makes me a burden for them even more because of which i get abused emotionally even more than before... I never find peace at home. They keeps on threatening me to file a complaint against me for torturing them but the reality is that I just try to defend myself when I'm fed up by their meaningless scoldings and rude behaviour, that's all. I don't even earn but my mom keeps asking me to get a job and spend on them, but infront of others they say that they doesn't expect anything from me. They keeps ill treating me all the time. They never talks to me properly, and when they does, its just a show off for social gatherings. I feel like ending my life all the time, but then i feel i shouldn't end it for people who doesn't even love me. But i don't know for how long I'll be able to fight it. Please help me get out of this mess legally.

detailed history from day 1 is important, moreso this is a clear case of domestic violence but before going into doing some case you must be thoroughly prepared and proof is very important to substantiate your points.

Ending your life is not the ultimate solution. Sit with your parents and talk to them and try to solve the problem mutually. If your parents get satisfaction if you get a job then try to find it. If the above stated solutions does not work then make a complain before the local police station against your parents for ill-treatment and torture.

I understand Ur situation..and as a counselor I can say u r educated..find a good job and stand upon itself.why be a burden and be a victim of abuse and humiliation.
Secondly why r they doing so..? R they unable to maintain u or maintain themselves?
If not then surely u can earn and be independent.
If they can then they have duty towards maintenance of unmarried daughters under Section 125.
