Adoption of my grandchild when mother is no more and father remarries

08-Mar-2023 (In Family Law)
i have 2 daughters and my elder daughter is no more. i grew up my granddaughter from 2years and now she is 7 years old and she is still with me. My grandchild's father is getting married soon. is there any legal way to adopt or have my grandchild with me as she desires; even when her father hesitates to do so? any legal opinion would be helpful.

You can file a custody petition for the custody of the child. As the child is 7 years old she can understand what's happening around and express her wish to the court. Adoption is a bit difficult if you are old.

In this case, I would like to know your son-in-law is agreed to the adoption or not, how your daughter died and further you said your son-in-law getting to marry soon you people are staying as a join the family or not. I have a vast practice in that area you can seek my assistance in your matter.
