Adoption as a Single Parent before Marriage

If you adopt as a single parent (through CARA) and then later marry, will your spouse be considered a parent as well?

You cannot adopt a Single Parent or any Single Senior Citizen through CARA, as far as what I have researched, you can merely adopt a Child for which there is a prescribed process in consonance with Indian Laws on Adoption. However, any bachelor can adopt a senior citizen from an old age home in India. There are no specific laws or regulations that prevent single people from adopting senior citizens. However, the adoption agency or old age home may have their own policies and procedures that they need to follow.
