Settlement In A Domestic Violence Case

In the last hearing husband agreed for settlement for say X amount in front of the magistrate. In the next hearing can he backout and change his statement. I mean can he again say he wants to continue the marriage? Can he again change his mind??

Yes until he gives you in writing that x amount is for the settlement and he wants divorce but that should not be the issue for court case so court can direct to both of you that file a divorce petition in proper court

unless settlement is reduced in writing and signes by both parties, it is next to impossible to execute the promise. there must be some record of such pronise. your husband can change mind unless it is in writing, but it is upto you to join him or not in married life.
