Dowry harassment, torture, thrown out of house and abandoned child

I am 29 year old female. I stay in Mysore and my in-laws and husband stay in Bangalore. They have tortured and thrown me and my kid out of house. So can I file an FIR in Mysore or should I file the FIR in Bangalore only?
You can file either in Bangalore or Mysore as per Supreme Court Directions. Along with that it is better to file a domestic violence case to pay you maintenance and grant home to stay.
FIR must be registered under 498a of IPC.

The law says FIR to be filed where incident took place or where child resided lastly. It is better for you to file FIR in Bengaluru. But you can file other cases in Mysore.

Bangalore...but you should file with right matter as it would strengthen your case. You should also file domestic violence so that you can get compensation there also. FIR with right matter is important. If any medical bills of injury, keep them safe. record calls.
