Domestic violence and Hindu Marriage Act

My daughter,being Christian in faith is being subjected to domestic abuse by her husband of the same faith in UAE.She decides to file DV case in India.I am given to understand in order to file DV case by NRI in India,the marriage should have been in accordance with Hindu Marriage Act.Please elaborate since my daughter is Christian and about the acceptance of her DV petition in India

you can file domestic violence irrespective of any religion moreover under India. domestic violence act there is no religion bar or classification under the law, your daughter can file domestic violence ,but regarding jurisdiction you have to discuss providing more facts .

if your daughter she is a Christian as per Christian Marriage Act been registered in and out of country also they can file in Bangalore family court as per the short and Indian rivers chart they can see for divers in Bangalore there is no problem but they have to stay in Bangalore
