My sister is living with her husband and in-laws. Family is abusive, her marriage is 26 years old but still for every single things her family threatens and humiliate her that house she is living in is not her. she has no rights financially and they treat her as a maid of the house. her health went down not only physically but also mentally. They belong to Hindu Religion.

A wife is entitled to live in her husband's house with dignity and without any mental or physical harassment. However if there is any cruelty on behalf of husband or his relatives then you or your sister can file a complaint under domestic violence act.
