17-Jul-2023 (In Documentation Law)
I am preparing for civil service exam my caste is hindu- lohar and i received my central govt obc certificate. to obtain obc certificate they require any valid document where my caste mentioned before 1967 year, so i submitted my uncle's secondary level school certificate and i got obc. but problem is my that uncle's primary level school there mentioned hindu- luhar. our samaj certificate mention we can write luhar or lohar but in central govt obc list it mentioned only lohar. after clearing exam will there be any problem for me? whats solution ? or should i quit upsc civil serivce exam?

FILE AN RTI WITH THE DEPARTMENT, OR GET CLARIFICATION BY PHYSICALLY APPROACHING THE OFFICER/STAFF/ AUTHORITY OF THE DEPARTMENT (WHICH IS IN DELHI). IT WILL BE WORTH THAT EFFORT enabling you to prepare well.
