Which address to mention in the government job verification

I got passport by suppressing college address and used only home address as a current address living from birth. Now I am selected for government job and I have to mention addresses where I have lived for last five years which includes college address also in attestation form. I want legal remedy to this.
If you are still residing at college address give that address.
Also offer to give an affidavit that passport is made in permanent address and college address is temporary one.
If there is a physical verification you must be available for the same

Dear Querist, In most of government records there are two addresses, one is permanent address and other is temporary address. Your college address was temporary address, so nothing to worry. You can mention your home address as your permanent address.
