Should property be bought from a GPA holder

Sir I am planning to buy a plot from a person whose is a owner and holds the registered deed in his name . However I have a query on scrutiny of documents . The present owner has purchased the property from registered person only but in turn that person has purchased it from GPA holder.

A property can be purchased based on GPA, provided the GPA was still in force at the time of purchase. However, to safe guard your interest you can take a public notice bringing into the knowledge of the public.

All the documents are to be scrutinised by a Lawyer Because you speak of General power of attorney. It is to be seen legally whether such General power of attorney had authority to sell and what was the reason for giving General power of attorney and whether the person who gave General power of attorney had good title to the property
