Procedure to correct spelling mistake in property document

Had purchased a flat in Raigad district inkalamboli, Navi Mumbai Cidco flats around 20 years back. However due to my ignorance my name in the property document was stated as symon instead of simon. Also am not aware of the whereabout of the seller now if that requires his intervention. How do i make the necessary changes in my property document
Hi ! Simon you need not to worry for the same , if you name is wrongly mentioned in the registered document I.e sale agreement you can go for rectification deed and if it is mentioned on property card you can submit a affidavit of your correct name and asked to change your name from concern department , if they ask you for submission of Gazzet copy in that case you can apply for official Gazzet of govt which publish twice in month , in this process no where need a help of earlier saller

Dear Querist, such change should be rectified by a Deed of rectification. but presence of the seller is required. In absence of the seller, you will have to initiate proceedings but why do you want to take so much trouble.
just make an affidavit and declaration to that effect.
