Passport Renewal does not have marital status updated

Hi,
I am married for last 4.5 years and getting separated. Legal proceedings are not started yet though.
I have got my passport renewed this year and since my husband declined to get his name added in my passport I got it renewed as Single and without any update on marriage.
Is it a crime, we are not living together and going for Divorce soon, does it impact my travel to abroad.
Please suggest.

you have to file and affidavit in regard of this. I think this is form K attested by judicial officer.
