Is it necessary to be a law graduate to open a law firm?

my brother has a b.com degree and works for a law firm. he wants to start a law firm and get it registered. i want to know can he do that. what is the procedure to do so and is it necessary to be a law graduate

All the very best to your Brother !

But, as per law, only Lawyers can practice Law and to setup Law Firm for practicing Law is also controlled and regulated under the Laws and Bar Council Rules and the Advocate Act !

So, it will be better that if you ask your Brother to study Law and obtain Sanad from the Bar Council so that he can start his own Law-Firm without any legal problems !

Yes. Law firms in India can be set up only by lawyers. Law firms are set up as either proprietorship or partnerships, and the Bar Council of India requires that the proprietor / all the partners should be lawyers.
