Is an affidavit valid if it has not been registered

I have signed affidavit of RS 10 to pay maintenance of RS one lakh per year and RS 20 lakhs on dated 9/11/2015 to my father to pay before 9/11/2016,due to their threaten of suicide.Can they force me to pay it? Affidavit is not registered with noting Officer.
Yes. Affidavit is a testamentary document and does not require registration and binding upon you. They can force you to pay maintenance. You should take detailed opinion after submitting requisite documents with advocate.
