It can be changed by an appropriate application to the concerned municipal corporation addressed to the registrar of births and deaths. The application shall be accompanied by appropriate enclosures supporting your claim of change in details. Apart from this you need to do certain things such as an affidavit on 100 rupee stamp paper attested by class I magistrate, copies of change in details advertisement published in two local newspapers. It is advisable to contact a lawyer for the affidavit and the application.

You are asking for correction in Birth Date and Fathers name in the Birth Certificate of your child ? It can only be done by certificate issuing authority, which is Municipal Corporations or Registrar of Birth and Deaths. You need to submitvthe original discharge certificate of Hospital and proof of correct Father's name if there is inadvertent and some typing error. The hospital where your child was born should issue a correction certificate and should fill up a fresh form for registration of the birth certificate.
