How to keep maiden name after marriage?

16-Jan-2023 (In Documentation Law)
I am a Hindu Girl and soon getting married to a Hindu Guy. I would like to keep my name as per my current documents after marriage. Would it be advisable ? Does it have any cons? Will it affect the visa process for spouse while travelling or migrating another country? What are the legalities that needs to be completed to prove my marital status without changing my name?

Hi client, once you marry, you will be issued a marriage certificate from the bandra family court. If you belong to the same religion, in your visa application form you need to write your maiden name only and spouse name as his. If you have a valid passport already in your maiden name, dont change that as along with your visa application you will need to also attach your passport along with other documents you have to submit. Visa process is only affected if the local police authorities find issues. If that is clear your application should go through without any problems. Hope my answer to your query is answered. All the best

Once you register your marriage ,the Marriage Registration Certificate is proof of your marriage. There is no legal compulsion to change your maiden name or surname after marriage ,it is your choice to retain your maiden name after marriage.
