How to get sons caste to SC if mother is from SC background

My son is in 10th standard and his mother comes from SC background. How can we get his caste changed in cbse records since he has wrongly filled the details while filling the cbse form. Kindly guide
As per the Court ruling if either of the parents belong to SC/ST the children born out of said marriage can enjoy the benefit of either of the parents .The child can choose which caste he should live.Based on the above judgments you can claim the benefits available to SC/ST class

Hello,
By showing the caste certificate of the his mother you can get his caste certificate from the registrar office and then you can subsequently file an application before the Board with the required affidavit that his caste should be changed. Let me know if I can be of any help.
