GRP(railway) related matter lodged online complaint through MP gov app

I lodged an online complaint through mygov app regarding unlawful behavior of railway security personnel while traveling in an Express train in the month of January 2017. I got multiple phone calls from railway official in the meantime. On 31st July a Constable of allahabad GRP came to my house with a letter from addl SP allahabad GRP to present on 8th August there. I want to know, if I don't appear there, may I face any legal problem?? I can send a written statement. Will it work??
yes kindly take a print copy of the same and send it by speed post with acknowledgement due and also mention by a covering letter that you have sent the needful through the app. Yes you can be present or appoint your lawyer to be present there. Please give a vakalatnama signed to your lawyer so that your lawyer can act and take steps on your behalf. You should have sent a medical document stating you are under bed rest and then send written statement on the later date.
