Correction in the class 10th marksheets
15-Dec-2023 (In Documentation Law)
Hi, There is minor mistake in my surname. In 10th mark sheet and certificate (UP Board) it is "Mithilesh Kumar Vishvakarma" while on other educational documents and ID proofs it os "Mithilesh Kumar Vishwakarma". There is "V" instead of "W". Will it create any problem in private sector jobs in India or in other countries?
Hello,
Yes it is advisable to get the minor mistake corrected in your 10th marksheet as it is the basis of many documents like pan card and voter if in the future. You may apply to your school if still studying or to the CBSE Board with your birth certificate and supporting documents for correction.
Hope this solves your query.
Take care and regards.

As long as your Aadhar and passport and other important documents portray your correct name, there shouldn't be a problem. Earlier marksheet was considered a valid proof of date of birth, but now Aadhar can be used for the same. So there shouldn't be a problem anywhere because of it.
