Correction in DATE OF BIRTH of the dependent of deceased

Sir my father had died in on duty in Defense. I filled a compassinate ground appointment application. My record Office had rejected it cause of mismatch in date of birth. Sir my father had died when I was only two years old and my mother is uneducated. So she had not knew about date of birth according service record Where is my DOB 17. 5. 83 and in my educational certificates DOB is case 1. 9. 83. Please advice why can I do it.

It would be some time taking process. Firstly you have to apply for corrections in you educational certificates with proper evidence to your education board. then make a revise application to your record office with affidavit of DOB correction and proceed with the corrected documents and other necessary documents. There are some govt facilities available by with you can correct some of mistakes you have in documents.
