Wife left home voluntarily and is not communicating, what to do?
28-Sep-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Our religion is Hindu. My wife left home 50 days ago. Her sister's husband threatened me to file a case and destroy me and my family if I do not beg my wife. He is making this weird demand that I should beg, plead my wife to talk to me and resolve the conflict. I told him that he is nobody to interfere in our personal matter and when my wife will be ready we will decide what to do. But then he started abusing and threatening me. My wife refused to talk to me at all & will not stop her family to abuse me. She is not taking any action nor she is ready to talk to me about what she wants exactly. I am stuck in this situation and don't know what to do. I don't want to get involved in legal fight at all. If she wants divorce I am ready to do it peacefully by mutual but she just stays silent and will not pick up calls, doesn't respond to texts. I do not want to beg her to come back or talk to me because she has threatened me to leave the house many times before as well.
You need to follow the legal process without entering into it how can you get rid of your problems. First you need to lodge a complaint in the police station of your jurisdiction and further you need to file a suit for restitution of conjugal rights against your wife.

Dear friend, calm down and don't panic. You have to decide what you want. As you have sent some text messages, you can also write one more time sorry and ask her to meet and decide a way forward.

1. What is that which you want.
------ if you want to get separated then try to convince her for filing a divorce by mutual consent by section 13B of the Hindu marriage act.
---------if she agrees you can pursue with that.
2. If she doesn't agree go then the way out will be mediation or counselling.
Anyways if u seek any of the legal opinion or remedy first you would have to, first file some kind of complaint so that you can actually force her to face you and come to some amicable solution.

My dear friend.. If a wife is upset, it is duty of husband to cajole her with live and care. Your and your wife ego will ruin a family, may be now your wife is not able to understand because she is under influence of her relatives for some reasons and she she is angry with you that you know very well, but if you lower your ego a little, you are helping to save your own family. Her sister's husband is only a messenger, do not consider him your enemy, you should go and personally talk to your wife and try to recap the good moments of life you have shared together. Do not think negative go with positive attitude and you will not loose anything if you say sorry to your wife. Learn the power of Sorry, it can make your life. Do not consult advocates for divorce, you will loose everything you have.
