Wife blackmailing of committing suicide , Forcing me to change religio
26-Jul-2023 (In Divorce Law)
On 11-Jul-2016, the marriage between me and was performed in temple, Salem, TamilNadu. It was a love marriage performed according to Hindu customs and rites and a boy was born to us on 11-Jun-2017. I belong to Hindu, Sozhiya Vellalar. The girl hails to religion Christianity, Sambuvan. When we planned for love + arranged marriage, her parents initially forced me to convert to Christianity, I denied doing so. Hence, this girl agreed to convert to Hindu and eloped from her house.
She proposed me around Mar2016 and forced me to marry on jul2016.
Main reasons:
- Sold the Hindu ‘Thali’ I tied and bought a Christianity ‘Thali’ without informing me and forcing me to convert to Christianity
- Asking me to abandon my parents
- Demotivating and dumbing by comparing with others
- Blackmailing and threatening me to get her things done
- - Saying false allegations as if I have extra-marital affairs
- No physical intimacy for the past 2 years
- Lot of losses and debts for me due to of jealo
You seem to experience pathetic condition. All the said acts of your wife amounts to cruelty and sufficient for filing divorce petition. In your case there are both civil and criminal aspects. You can file a police complaint against cheating and forcing you to convert and leave your parents. You can use all the said reasons in your divorce petition including domestic violence.
you cannot say about the remedy you need in the matrimonial matter you said you are separated for two years and there is a harassment in the form of a changing the religion also and if you want to depart from your wife legally then you can proceed divorce but actually your marriage is itself not proper marriage if it is registered only in the register office then it is a valid marriage if not marriage cannot be took place between a Christian and Hindu in any other format Oriya private ledger ceremony it is not recognised according to the law only before the registrar office under the special Marriage Act that marriage is valid one so you can proceed
