wife absconding to hide Income, Assets

After getting Maintenance Order two decades back , wife has changed her address and absconding to prevent decision on Maintenance under changed circumstances. All efforts to serve notice on her have failed. She wants to continue receiving maintenance for life, inspite of better financial position hide all her assets, income, status, address. Paper publication is not useful to know her financial position. How to stop wife from misuse of women beneficial laws.?

stop paying her maintenance. she will automatically surface or file a case against husband to recover arrears. in case it is being deducted from your salary directly then you need to file a writ petition and file a police complaint against her.

You can approach the family court to seek modification or cancellation of the old maintenance order by filing a change in circumstances petition. The court can also be requested to proceed ex-parte if the wife is willfully avoiding notice service.
