Where to quash case under section 498a


28-Sep-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My sister's son encountered a false 498a along with sec.3&4 DP act which was filled during 10/2016 at Piler of Chittoor Dist. I do not know the present status of the case. Where can I file squash petition? Is it in Dist Court or at High Court? Can u please guide me ?

Quash Proceedings can only be filed in the High Court and the parameters for quash generally the High Court will look into is that .... there must be an abuse of process of law and to meet the ends of justice the High Court can quash the proceedings.

Sir you have to file quash petition in high court and I can help you out I have been working in high court since 20 years and last week only I have got one same matter quashed in high court it depends upon the situation

You can check the case status using website ecourts.gov.in.
To file the quash petition you have to approach the high court U/S482 of Cr.P.c.
District court does not have powers to quash the case.
Please note in order to quash the case, you need to have very strong case(i.e lack of jurisdiction)
