Hi All, I am a Hindu women born and brought up in Delhi, got married in Uttarakhand in April 2015 and will be completing two years of marriage in next April. Initially for 2 months after my marriage, my marriage life was running good but then my husabnd started finding more interest in his sister-inlaw (bhabhi, elder brotther's wife) and started comparing me with her and making me feel inferior for no obvious reason. I was feeling inferior and told him about it but nobody in the family cared about me and He started neglecting me more for the same reason. From last 10 months, I don't have any good relation with my husband and there is nothing sort of huband-wife relationship at all. His family has given me different kitchen and and I am now used to stay here as a slave where I can not go out without their permission and moreover I am scared to go out alone as consequences can be be worse. They are scared of the fact that if I go out or even If I meet my parents I will tell them abo

What do you want now? You need to have counseling with your husband. Once you take a legal action the relations will be permanently strained. You can confide it in your parents to talk to your your husband and find out the other persons story about this. After this if you still need legal help you are welcome.

You have many options available if yoi proceed legally by way of filling a complaint since you are suffering an extreme form of cruelty in the hands of your in-laws , you can file a case of domestic violence against your husband and in-laws and can also seek the compensation by way of filing a different application. Since your marriage has reached to an irrevocable stage it will be wise on your part to stop waiting and doing appropriate things by way of filing a complaint. If the things are terrible as you are explaining here then you can seek the help of local police by calling them on 100 number and they can help in rescuing you from that matrimonial home.

You have not clarified what you actually want. Do you want to continue your marital relationship or you want to end it. If you want to end the issues you mentioned are enough for contest divorce. You may initially move to mediation and send a legal notice.
