What are alimony or property rights of working women?

My brother got married in December 2016. He would like to get divorced after 3 years of living separately from his wife on account of desertion and mental cruelty. They lived together for around 10 months together. She never lived in the matrimonial house as my brother rented an apartment close to her office for her comfort. The owner of matrimonial house is my brother. His wife is also employed as a marketing manager in a reputed firm and earns 1/3rd as how much my brother earns. Can she claim alimony or maintenance or right on his property from my brother? If yes how much?

If you are having enough proofs about to show in court of law that she is earning lady and she has proper source of income then she is not at all entitled for maintenance and even if she files D.V application under Domestic Violence Act you can show that she was residing separately so no question of violence.

alimony depends upon the standard of living of husband but in case of working wife it is difficult for her to get it unless and until she could make out a perfect case for seeking alimony. We can more elaborately disucss this issue on my wats app number.
