Want divorce from husband. But he is giving threats.

13-Nov-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I have been married for 24 years. It has been a loveless and sexless marriage. I also had to face mental and emotional abuse from my inlaws and husband. Due to which I developed issues such as depression, anxiety & panic attacks. He was never interested to have a good family life. I had to live a lonely life. I stayed there stuck with him because of my daughter.( who is now 23 years) About a year back I became close with another man. He fulfilled my lonliness both as a friend and partner. My husband found out about him. And since then he is making my life hell, mentally harassing me. I have been under great mental stress, living like a prisoner. I don't have any bond with him at mental, emotional or physical level. I have asked him for legal separation, but he is threatening me with revenge. He will tell the man's family and wife a & instigate them against me.I don't want to live like this. But I am scared what he will do against me. Need advice on how to proceed.

Hi, it is advisable to file a contested divorce petition on the grounds of mental and physical cruelty ..Also you can file a criminal complaint with the women cell ..There is nothing perticular that he can do against you .

first of all clear your mind either you want separation or not .and get fix to it whatever be the situation. don't be get emotional or ambiguous. if you want divorce from him inform your daughter, parents and other family members so that they can understand your situation and support you in doing this. after all this file a divorce case against your husband
