Yes, she can. It's her right. You just need to put the evidence of payment in court if any. But the maintenance amount will be decided by the court depending upon your salary and it's thereby upon the discretion of the court in regard. Your wife has full right to claim maintenance amount from you through court, you are advised to keep all payment records safe with you so you can submit all payment records as evidence of payment in the court, but amount of maintenance will be decided by the court only as per your wife qualification and your salary.

Yes, she can. If she can show that the standard of life before separation was better and that she requires more money to achieve that standard which was prevelant at the time of separation. The court can order for more maintenance in addition to the 5,000.
