Validation of US Divorce decree

21-Feb-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My first marriage happened in India, and I was divorced in the US, in the State of Louisiana. I have now relocated to india and am trying for remarriage. Is it mandatory for me to get my US divorce decree validated? What is the process and how long will it take?

if you are a Christian and got a divorced in US under the provision of Christian law as it exists there the same can be validated in India for the purpose of it's authenticity. assuming that you are a Hindu divorce decrease that you obtained in US is not valid in India and there doch not exist a process of validation in India.
