My husband has filed divorce petition,what he says is I am mentally unstable,he has a doctor prescription,that was just for anxiety it was with his consent,but I am a medical professional.
Is that valid ground for divorce
A prescription for anxiety, by itself, is not a ground for divorce. It may become relevant only if the underlying mental condition is serious and persistent, and is of such a nature that the spouse cannot have a martial relationship with other party. For more details you may contact me.

It will not be a valid ground for divorce. The said document cannot be the sole ground for divorce. Your husband has to plead and establish the cruelty from your side to get divorce you have to file a detailed counter against your husband

are you still a practicing? what is you age? duration of married life ? now the burden of proof lay on you to proof that you are not mentally ill. is that the only ground raised? mental illness is a ground of divorce. if you are willing to separate you can go for joint divorce
