Uncontested Dismissed - Case Disposed

18-Feb-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My wife applied for divorce , but we both did not appear in the court on hearing date. so case was disposed as Uncontested Dismissed. Does that mean any decree of divorce will be passed to wife?

No. Primarily your wife being the divorce petitioner has to appear before the court and if she fails to do so then the court may give two or more opportunities for her appearance and yet again if she fails then the court will dismiss the petition for default. The dismissed petition may be reopened depending on the circumstances.

if both parties did not appeared then it will be results for reunion. if you have reunion then no problem. if you need to contest the case then reopen the case as afresh. decree will be ordered on the merits
