There are number of factors that’s taken into consideration whilst deciding Alimony. For ex. The duration of marriage Cruelty which may have been perpetrated by either side. Children Living style And of course your income. Matrimonial cases are often very nasty and an endless exercise, meaning thereby, you may be asked to keep paying maintenance and the case may not proceed at all and therefore she gets to enjoy with your money and you get nothing at all in return. so it’s incumbent upon you to engage a good lawyer right from the beginning. You may contact me if you deem me good enough. I hope that the answer helps. Regards

The section mentioned is divorce on the basis of cruelty. And you need to reply to her petition in the court that all the allegations levied on you are false and imaginative. You also need to empty your bank accounts immediately and release all your properties. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

So far as maintenance is concerned, court will consider the educational qualication, income, assets, standard of living, expenses etc before granting
