Time needed for contested divorce from wife after 1 yr of marriage

03-Mar-2023 (In Divorce Law)
We did registered marriage without telling either of our families after which i found my wife to be over dominant and using harsh word on me, I have convinced my wife for mutual divorce and applied for the same but she is now getting arrogant and insisting me to start a life with her. She has informed about our personal life's to my relatives and have messed up my good name and have portrayed me as a cheater. I don't want to marry her as she is very arrogant and goes out of mind and spoils out everything all the time. She is now threatening me that she will file case against me and make me stay with her. I am not sure if I would be able to get a contested divorce with the minimal proofs left with me to prove her cruelty.

The fact that she’d initially agreed to file a mutual divorce (assuming you mean it’s pending in court/withdrawn) by itself shows her intention to be judicially separated. She may file a RCR to continue to stay with you, but that can be defended and it can’t be forced on to you: Please contact to discuss this in further detail

Dear Sir, If she is agreeable then you can file mutual divorce case. You have to decide what alimony is to be paid or not to be paid. There is six months waiting period after that only your mutual divorce petition will be considered. Better obtain all the necessary documents and come to my office.
