This is a matrimony question. How does one proceed to file a divorce case against an abusive wife. Are the laws in favor of wife mostly and does the husband has less chance of getting relief? Does wife's abusive nature against husband and his parents can be a ground to file divorce. Wife physically and mentally abuses her child. Wife was also involved in adulteration, but no proof available.

of course wife's abusive behaviour counts as cruelty and hence is a ground for divorce in courts of law. all the instances stated by you are grounds for a decree of divorce. laws are not in favour of women for them to abuse them but to empower them. if there is an instance of abuse of law then of course law will not protect her.

Record abusive nature of wife and collect electronic evidence and make summary of acts and instances of abuses hurled by wife against family members. Stop physical relation with wife as this is one of the important factor in getting divorce. then file a case against her before she gets a clue and file a case of DVAct against you.
