Based on the facts stated, merely having a friendship or political acquaintance does not by itself prove an illicit relationship. If the husband has left the matrimonial home solely on suspicion without any evidence, the wife may have legal remedies. If divorce proceedings are initiated, she can seek interim and permanent maintenance/alimony (subject to the husband's income and the facts of the case), maintenance for the children, and appropriate relief under applicable family laws. If she has been subjected to mental cruelty or desertion, those facts may also be relevant before the Family Court. She should consult a family law advocate with all documents and complete facts for proper legal advice.

Dear Client, 1. Based on the facts stated, mere suspicion of an extramarital relationship without cogent evidence is not a valid ground to deny the wife's legal rights. If the husband files for divorce, the wife may be entitled to claim maintenance/alimony, child maintenance, residence rights, and other reliefs, depending on the facts and financial circumstances. A detailed legal opinion can be provided after reviewing the complete facts and documents. 2. Consult an advocate to discuss your case in brief. 3. You may schedule an appointment regarding your case by phone or email at your convenience. Thanks & regards, Priyanka Advocate Coimbatore

Mere suspicion of an illicit relationship, without any credible evidence, is not sufficient in law. If the husband has deserted his wife, subjected her to mental cruelty by making false allegations, and withdrawn from the matrimonial home, the wife may contest the divorce and seek appropriate reliefs. Depending on the facts, she can claim maintenance (if eligible), permanent alimony under Section 25 of the Hindu Marriage Act, residence rights, and custody/maintenance for the children. Compensation is not automatic and will depend on the facts, evidence, and the reliefs sought before the Family Court.

As per your case facts,if we prove she is in extra marital affair or committed adultery, she couldn't get any compensation even divorce applied by herself. and you can also initiate divorce proceedings and prove she is in extra marital affair if judge satisfied with our statements. We don't need to give any maintenance and compensation. but if you have child , maintenance should provide for them
